Aretha

My name is Aretha. I am a single mother of two teenaged boys. I am also a new immigrant to the United States. I work a full time job with a foriegn government here in Miami.

I live a very active lifestyle and love adventure travel. I try to go on an international trip at least every other month. My hobbies include zip-lining, cave tubing, kayaking, hiking and of course just relaxing with a good book on the beach.

I started off with a goal to achieve a degree in Public Administration. However, recent events in my life have influenced me to add Criminal Justice to my focus. I am very friendly and very fair. I like people who have a good sense of character. I try not to be judgemental and just accept people for who they are. I have had some tough times with the person who should have been looking out for me here in Miami. I felt very empowered once I decided to put my feet down and end that cycle of abuse. Thankfully, I have closed that book completely and I will not ever be a victim anymore!

For me, it's not only a new year. It is also a new life, new adventures, new loves and I am so looking forward to the good things I am expecting this year and beyond.
