Kim Dvorak
Wellesley, Massachusetts
Hello! My name is Kim Dvorak and I am part of the class of 2016 at Babson College. I love to hike, run, play hockey as well as a variety of other sports. I also enjoy making ceramics and traveling. I am a proud member of Sigma Kappa and run on the Varsity Track and Cross Country teams at Babson. My genuine, yet bubbly and energetic personality allows me to be a leader on campus, as I constantly aim to set examples for others and instill confidence in them.
In the fall of 2014, I partook on an abroad program with Babson College where I traveled to and studied in China, Russia, and India with 25 peers. During this program, I learned a lot about myself as an individual as well as many other cultures. I have learned to think of what I have as a privilege, which has inspired me to become a part of something bigger than myself. I will continue to these learnings as I travel to Kumasi, Ghana, for two weeks to work on a social venture project that empowers gari processing women in January.
My life at Babson has been quite a journey. I started out wanting to be an accountant, but made a slow realization that I wanted to do something that I loved and that would also impact others. This went hand in hand with my passion for sustainability. I have always had this passion, as I am from Vermont, but this passion has come to the forefront of my thinking as my classes at Babson taught me the dire need for sustainability in our world. This, along with first hand experiences in my travels, has made me into a woman who wants to change the world of business into something that will be here for many generations to come.
