Kimberlee Wood, MAT, BCBA
Augusta Georgia
Mrs. Wood received her bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida and earned her advanced degrees in education from Augusta State University and Georgia Regents University in Augusta, Georgia. During her time in Miami, she became involved in a NASA research project studying human behavior in response to stress and limited access to communications. Soon thereafter, Skinner's work on verbal behavior became a focal point for continued study. In between, she managed to squeeze in a career in politics Cuban-style as a lobbyist and senatorial aide. The continued study of human behavior and its applied relationship to communication naturally led to a career as a teacher and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. An advanced degree in Special Education and the study of Special Ed Law provided the foundation for advocacy for those with special needs. Kimberlee is a tireless advocate of autism research and the proper use of science as a tool for the shared expansion (not suppression) of knowledge in the broad autism support network. Rising Tide Behavioral Interventions, LLC was born of a great need to stem the tide of hopelessness often felt by parents of children with autism and other developmental disabilities in our community. We strive to integrate solid ABA programming and compassionate support. Our families learn to become strong advocates for their children and empowered partners on the hopeful journey to recovery. As a result, we all work toward raising the level of awareness in the community with a positive impact! Founder and President, Kimberlee Wood is available for consultation, speaking engagements, behavioral assessment, program development, and all things ABA.
