An avid reader since childhood, I began my career in books in 2008 as a Bookseller for Barnes & Noble. My passion for reading, writing, and promoting books led me to seek a degree in English and Publishing Studies from Hofstra University, which I completed in 2011. Since graduating, I have worked as Client Sales and Marketing Coordinator for Perseus Distribution and as Editorial Assistant for Sourcebooks Inc., working most closely with their children's, young adult, and romance imprints. I began freelance editing and consulting in early 2012 and have worked on a variety of ongoing projects in the genres of picture book, memoir, short-story fiction, and blog. I find additional passion and success in helping others to build strong cover letters and resumes, as well as in editing college and graduate-school admission essays.
Other hobbies of mine include writing poetry and verse, photography, travel, yoga, and acting.
