Kim Sharell

Raised as an only child by her maternal Grandmother, a strong and classy southern woman, the beginnings of Kim's life was infused with teachings of love for family and community, good moral character, & being her authentic self. Despite their very humble surroundings, Grandma would tell her "you can do anything you set your mind to". Those words of support sparked her love to cultivate her creative personality by being a part of community clubs, teams, shows, and pageantry presenting herself in front of large audiences starting at a young age.

Through out life's journey, Kim has often referred back to her Grandmother's words, which causes her to be her authentic self. Because of life's ups and downs, maturity, growth, and rediscovery she has been catapulted to a place where it is realized that there are no limits.

October 2005 marked the end of a prestigious nine year career as an active member of the US armed services where she earned numerous achievement awards. While still in pursuit of her degree in Health Science - Public Health, she has garnered a degree in Industrial Management Technology, served as a volunteer to the Okaloosa County Florida Health Department, and completed the Leadership Development training program identifying herself as a next generation leader in multiple arenas.

Currently a member of the Department of Defense, Kim finds enjoyment helping others reconnect/identify to their authentic self to pursue a fulfilling life. She has stepped forward to head her company "Don't Shrink, Shine!"; empowering confidence in men, women, boys and girls to overcome adversity that has attempted to steal their "shine" through speaking, training, and meeting.

To date, Kim is a sought after speaker amongst the local natural hair community. At these gatherings she takes the opportunity to empower women to exist confidently in this unforgiving society with their natural hairstyles or whatever hairstyle they choose to wear; to shine with it! In her down time you can find Kim sharing her vocal skills as part of a well known local singing group, capturing beauty behind a camera lenses, scrapbooking memories, or her favorite pass time which is spending quality family time with her three sons KeyShan, Tariq, and Christopher.
