I started playing the flute since I was 12 years old. Until now I still can't believe that the instrument I once thought was a toy will take me to where I am now. I remember before that violin was supposed to be the instrument I would study but unfortunately it didn’t go through. A few months later someone lent me an old flute and if I'm not mistaken, I'm the fifth person to use it. That old flute brought me to my dreams of being able to study at the UST Conservatory of Music and become one of the players of the UST Wind Orchestra and UST Symphony Orchestra.

One of the things that inspired me to continue to reach my dreams are the person I am with every time there is a concert and other event. Before I entered UST, I was a member of a Concert Band in our area in Malabon. Here I learned to play and get along with different people, here I also gained experience in playing on various occasions such as festivals, birthdays, weddings and this also includes the funeral of the dead. The people I call bandmates have been my inspiration because they have taught me to be happy with what I do especially when playing music. It was in this band that I first taught other young people who dreamed of becoming great musicians one day.

“Believe in yourself and all that you are, know that there is something inside you that is greater than any obstacle.” – Christian D Larson

Teaching for me is not just a job because it requires dedication and love because every child who will be my student can be a successful person someday. I believe that each and every dream is important because this simple dream can change our lives. So, when the time comes for me to be a professional teacher, I will love each of my future students because I want to inspire them to pursue their dream and passion.
