Kimberly Byrd

Kimberly Byrd is a twenty-year veteran of the City of Philadelphia Police Department. As of 2011, she is the first female in the history of the City of Philadelphia Police Department to be appointed to theposition of Executive Officer. Her unwavering dedication and commitment has helped make thedepartment an effective model of service to the community. Prior to her appointment of Executive
Officer she was delegated as the Chief of Staff to the Police Commissioner. During her tenure in civil service, she has demonstrated a resilient work ethic. Along these lines, this dedication has helped herattain both the ranks of Detective and Patrol Sergeant. Her varied assignments throughout the City havegiven her an invaluable understanding of all aspects of law enforcement and its effects on quality of life inan urban environment.
