Greetings,
I am a Business Development Manager in Amazon Logistics where I recruit and launches entrepreneurs into the Last Mile Delivery - Delivery Service Partner program. I've been at Amazon for 4.5 years and my most previous role as a Marketing Manager for Textures & Hues and additional customer segments. An online haircare store business that I launched, with my cofounder, within Amazon.
My previous roles include being an Account Manager focused on helping entrepreneurs grow their business by using the Amazon platform. I was most recently featured in Puget Sound Business Journal's 2018 40 under 40 lists and in the Feb 2019 ESSENCE Magazine for Intrapreneurship: pitching and launching Amazon's Textures & Hues.
For the past 4 years, I served on the board of Amazon's Black Employee Network and is currently the Non-Tech Professional Development Director. Through various roles, I focused on empowering BEN members to submerge themselves within the Seattle community by partnering with organizations and community activists. I have led national company-wide programming and events for inclusion and diversity. I also focus on equipping minority youth with access and skills for careers in the technology industry and entrepreneurship, advocating for equal opportunities for minority youth and women and helping entrepreneurs market and expand their businesses to be more inclusive.
I have served with Communities in Schools of Renton as an AmeriCorps member, a mentor with Year Up, and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Originally from Texas, I relocated to Seattle to obtain my MBA from Northwest University with a concentration in Social Entrepreneurship. I'm passionate about the intersection of business, entrepreneurship, social responsibility, and helping others navigate their entrepreneurial spirit and career.
