I am a independent writer currently living near Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

I enjoying writing for my freelance clients on a wide variety of topics, but my favorite is producing articles aimed at constructive social change. My current "pet topic" relates to the threat marine pollution poses for endangered and threatened species, such as Loggerhead Sea Turtles.

I write journalist assignments, web content for clients, ad copy, and more.

My hobbies include cooking, helping others, working on my 1st mystery manuscript, reading anything I can get my hands on, singing, listening to music (live in concert and recorded), collecting seashells and sea glass, swimming, playing volleyball, walking on the beach, crossword puzzles, gardening, making new friends, continuing my education any chance I get, traveling, and digital photography.

I enjoy Sprint Cup NASCAR races and watching my favorite team, the N.Y. Yankees, play baseball. I love The University of South Carolina Gamecocks (football and basball), and absolutely despise watching golf ;-)

7 things about me that might surprise others to know:

1. I am terrified of spiders and snakes.

2. I used to be a Firefighter.

3. I survived 2 hearts attacks, three days apart, before the age of 44.

4. I always try to find, and recognize, the best in my fellowman.

5. I am a disability advocate.

6. I support the push for better adult literacy programs.

7. I hope to own my own catering business one day.
