Kimberly K. Wilson is an extraordinary executive whose unconventional journey and professional accomplishments are fueled by passion, dedication to fulfilling purpose, and unyielding love for community. Wilson is an 18-year media veteran and currently serves as Vice President, Affiliate Marketing for Disney and ESPN Media Networks (a division of ESPN, Inc.).
In 2003, Wilson joined BET Networks as an Affiliate Sales Manager and was responsible for increasing distribution for its suite of networks. Soon after, Kimberly served as Director of Marketing for Clear Channel Radio (now iHeart) New Orleans. She led the development and execution of all marketing, promotions, and community affairs efforts for seven diverse radio stations from Classic Rock to Country. She increased revenue for the cluster via breakthrough events such as Crescent City Idol and New Faces of Country. She worked closely with the Marketing and Promotions team to drive listener engagement and advertiser value across its cluster of stations.
As Vice President, Affiliate Marketing for Disney and ESPN Media Networks, Wilson leads a team of marketers who identify and develop innovative marketing strategies designed to meet and exceed the organization’s distribution goals. She is also responsible for a multi-million dollar marketing budget.
Wilson earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Columbia College of Chicago and a Master’s Degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from Roosevelt University. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and mentors young men and women on how to design their career paths. In 2015, she served as a mentor in the Global Sports Mentorship Program founded by the US State Department and ESPN. Her most noteworthy accomplishment is serving as President and co-Founder of The Don D. Wilson Dream a Dream Foundation in honor of her late father whose mission is to serve the needs of youth in the areas of music, sport and entrepreneurship.
