Kimberly Lanning

Growing up on a farm in Virginia, I have always loved the outdoors and building things. Programming, mountain biking, traveling, and rock climbing have become passions of mine. I'm currently learning Ruby on Rails while integrating RSpec and pair programming and loving every minute of it.

My background is in Mathematics and Teaching 8th Graders in Virginia, yes...I said 8th graders. They kept me on my toes and were so much fun to teach! For a semester in college, I studied business in DC and had the opportunity to volunteer in the Marketing Dept of the Capital Area Food Bank, which has led to my interest in non-profit organizations and giving back to the community.

I honestly believe that to become the best person I can be means to always be learning and growing.
