Kimberly L. Winters

Kimberly L. Winters is an experienced Virginia educator who is College Board-certified in Advanced Placement Language and Composition. Conversant in project-based learning, she has guided cross-curricular assessments within interdisciplinary settings. Having completed growth mindset workshops and training, Kimberly L. Winter also has a passion for creating and developing curriculum and testing out new teaching methods.

Ms. Winters has worked to create a dynamic and responsive classroom community that fosters class discussion. A lifelong reader who avidly reads fiction in a variety of genres, she has a particular interest in pathways for introducing reading to those who may be reluctant to open a book.

With a longstanding interest in the natural world, Ms. Winters has traveled to national parks throughout the country. She regularly reads nonfiction on aspects of the human destruction of the environment and what can be done to reverse this trend. In her free time, Kimberly L. Winters enjoys travel-related activities such as photography and trying out new cuisines.
