Kimberley Peter
I am a user experience design lead at IBM with a focus on design practice and strategy.
I help organizations work effectively across disciplines and geographies to create thoughtfully designed products and services. I build design talent and teams that are oriented toward collaborative practices, design thinking, and openness to experimentation as a means to foster cultural health and bring value to the business and people using its products and services.
I have a deep interest in helping teams clarify their strategy and intent using methods to understand where they are going, how they can get there and how they can adapt to change along the way. Having this kind of foresight can put organizations on an intentional path, promote shared understanding, and provide the overall direction for what is designed, developed and delivered—and it is where I want to make a difference.
As part of a persistent passion for promoting continuous learning, I also co-lead the Toronto UX Book Club, and occasionally present and write on the topic of design, including contributions to TorCHI, Fluxible Conference, interactions Magazine, Design@IBM Gallery, and Jazz Team blog.
