Who am I? My name is Kimberley Carmona, a fourth-year journalism major at the University of Texas at Austin. I am a multimedia journalist with an emphasis on online journalism and social media.
What do I do? I am the Vice President for Communication Council, the student intern for UT’s Campus Facilities Services, Social Media Director for Sneak Peek, a General News Reporter for the Horn and a guest writer/photographer for Latinitas Magazine.
Why online? Knowing that I can tell a story using different journalistic platforms to present information for my audience, I knew that I was meant to be a journalist. After taking some very interesting classes here at UT, I realized that I enjoy using different multimedia platforms to tell a story, which could be why I want to focus on online journalism.
Where am I from? I am a native of Brownsville, Texas living in Austin, Texas.
