Kim Chandler McDonald is the award-winning author of Innovation: How Innovators Think, Act and Change Our World (2013) and Flat World Navigation: Collaboration and Networking in the Global Digital Economy (2015) as well as co-author of, 'Entrepreneurial Renaissance: Cities Striving Towards an Era of Renaissance and Revival’ (2017). She is the Author, Complier, Editor, Publisher and Instigator of, and Chief Bottle Washer for, the Postcards From Tomorrow book project.
Kim is the Co-Founder and CEO of the leading edge, high-tech software firm, FlatWorld Integration Pty Ltd.,. She is sought after speaker and a globally respected thought leader on disruptive approaches, transformational trends and international business strategies particularly those involving innovation and end-user empowerment in the global DACE (Digital, Attention and Collaboration Economies). From the company’s inception, Kim has been the forefront of their focus on FIA (Future Internet Architecture), secure Smart Data, digital disruption and End-User engagement/empowerment, encapsulated in their Fl@World technology, which solves the complex business problems surrounding the need to simply and securely share sensitive data, in realtime, using a multitude of data formats across multiple jurisdictions.
Currently Kim sits on a number of boards both locally and internationally as well as being a proud member of the inaugural cohort of SheEO (Australia), a global community of radically generous women transforming the way female entrepreneurs are financed, supported and celebrated.
Kim is the first to admit she has had an unconventional career path that includes founding a theatre company in London and emergency forest fire fighting in the Yukon. In addition, she has been a writer/editor for national and international newspapers and magazines and host/producer of an award winning radio program.
