I have 13+ years of marketing and business development experience. I ran strategic partnerships for the CTO of NASA and drove a number of multimillion dollar partnership deals to completion with companies like Microsoft, Google, Sprint and Rackspace.

I did the deal between NASA and Rackspace that lead to the creation of OpenStack. I spent 3.5 years in China and the Middle East and worked on the financing deal to create the largest skyscraper in the world. I was most recently Director of Marketing for Elasticsearch and prior to that I was Marketing Director at Nebula.

I believe that marketing and business development are symbiotic disciplines and my experiences in both have informed each other.

I'm been a marketing and BD consultant to a few startups including Newlywish, Woz.com, Citrus Lane (now Care.com), and Piston Cloud Computing.

Earlier in my career, I was awarded a Brookings Institute fellowship on Capitol Hill where I worked for the Chairman of the House Science Committee on small business and innovation policy.

Also I've lived all over the world and speak Mandarin (albeit like a six year old...or so I've been told by Beijing cab drivers).
