I started experimenting with cooking when I was thirteen. My brother (Sean) really enjoyed my soup creations, which was made of fresh vegetables, broth, and spices. Over the years I watched my mom (Sandy) prepare and cook our dinners and found it interesting and wanting to learn more. So in high school I took a home economics class. I will never forget my first pie I had made, the apples were perfect and the crust was so flaky. This pie got me an A+ and I passed the class. I was able to bring this pie home and my mom enjoyed it so much that she just kept eating it. That is when I realized that I really could cook and bake. On the weekends I remember my mom and I would pick out recipes and create a family dinner. Creating those dinners was the most fun and time well spent with my mom. I was hoping that my son (Nicholos) would enjoy cooking as much as my mom and I, but come to find out he would rather eat our creations than cook them. I can truly say that I come from a family that enjoys creating and cooking great dishes. My stepdad (Jack) can cook some great meat dishes on the rotisserie over the grill like nobody's business. My mom's pulled pork on the grill that takes hours to perfect. My brother's unique ways of creating desserts. Feeling inspired I decided to attend cooking school in Chicago and earned my Associates Degree in Culinary Arts. I have been perfecting my recipes ever since and my wonderful husband (Dave) has had to through this process with me and try every verison of my creations. All I can say is thank you. Now that I'm in my forties I have created a food blog, so that I can share my recipes. I do hope you enjoy my recipes as much as my family has.
