The Creature

Hello, my name is... well I don't necessarily have name. I was created by Dr. Victor Frankenstein. I am about eight feet tall and incredibly ugly. When I first awoke my creator ran away, I didn't know if it was because of me.

I then moved on to a village where everyone ran from me. I took shelter in a shed next to a cottage. Inside lived a poor family that could barely afford anything. I stole their food until I realized they didn't have enough for themselves. So instead I gathered wood for them and left it by their front door. A young woman moved in with them. They were teaching her English. Through observing them is how I learned to read and write. I spent the whole winter here and grew very fond of the family, who are still unaware of my presence. "Such was the history of my beloved cottagers. It impressed me deeply. I learned, from the views of social life which it developed, to admire their virtues and to depreciate the vices of mankind." (page 108) I found a book called Paradise Lost and it meant a great deal to me. I also found some papers in my pocket showing how I was created. I was disgusted by what I am made from.

I decided I am going to reveal myself to the old man who is blind. I made contact and started to describe my situation. But then the others returned home and drove me away because they were scared of me. Out of rage I burned down the cottage and left.

After that I went to Geneva where he and his family live. I met his brother William who freaked out and scared me when he saw me. He mentioned that his father was victor Frankenstein so I grabbed his throat and killed him. I took a picture out of his pocket and placed it in a girl's dress who was sleeping in a nearby barn.

I then moved out to the mountains, where I later met victor. I explained to him everything that happened in my life. I then demanded that he make me a female monster. I was overlooking the progress when suddenly Victor destroys his work. I threatened revenge and told him id be with him and his wedding night. And so I was, when I killed his wife.

I then came across a man named Walton and told him everything. With my creator dead it was my time to die as while. So I left into the darkness.
