Different perspectives have always intrigued me. I believe that is why the field of digital media sparks my interest. Writing can give insight into different perspectives as well as photography and film. These are some of the things that influence us and inspire us to grow better as people and develop understanding. Who wouldn’t want to be a part of that?

My name is Ashley King and I am a Chicago native. I love incorporating my interests through different types of media. Writing has been my first outlet into the world of creativity. It was time I understood that I could create a world and it could be whatever I wanted it to be. I enjoy mixing the worlds of writing, photography and video together. Building and expanding a brand through social media and digital marketing can have such a great impact. It involves imagination. It is also an amazing way to explore the depths of my creativity.

I have a chocolate addiction, an affinity for architectural photography, and love watching Game of Thrones. Jon Snow and Tyrion Lannister are the best characters!

I am a Masters candidate majoring in Digital Communications & Media Arts at DePaul University. I received my B.A in Journalism at Roosevelt University in 2012. I plan to further my career in digital communications by working in digital marketing and media relations in the film industry.
