King Hakim

Hakim Henderson is a second-year Facilities Management student at Florida A&M University. He was born on May 15th, 1995. He resides in a suburban outskirt of Tampa, Florida but is of island decent (Antigua to be exact). He's prideful in his name which is Arabic and is pronounced ha- keem and its meaning's relate to his character which are; 1. A wise or learned man 2. A judge, ruler/governor.

Hakim takes passion in design and urban pop culture due to his architectural background and diverse upbringinging. Some of his interests include high fashion, hip-hop, sports and business management. Hakim is an entreprenuer who currently operates an event planning company and is an aspiring model.

Growing up, Hakim's father enstilled in him the importance of being your own boss if you aspire to control your life. Though Hakim is young, he is actively pursuing opportunities to do business ventures and establish his own. In a forever changing world, being self-reliable is a necessity for Hakim in order for him to live the lifestyle he desires.

Hakim's ultimate goal is to bevome a venture capitalist so that he can be in a position to help others businesses grow and dreams manifest. Being a natural giver and helper his entire life, his dream is to give other people the avenue to reaching their's.

He currently has a blog titled "Leaders of The New School" featuring up & coming leaders in fashion, hip-hop, pop culture and business. It also has inputs from him on a personal perspective about his everyday life. He's always on the lookout for new gamechangers from our generation so you never know, today it may be a feature and tommorow an investment.
