Richard A. Roberts

I am pursuing a degree in Public Administration and looking to graduate in Summer 2013. I was born and raised in Broward County, but left in 1999 to attend the University of Florida. I am a non-traditional student in that I have been married for ten years to the woman of my dreams and we have a beautiful girl and handsome son. I decided to finish my degree after a wonderful career with the County Fire Department and working as a Property Adjuster for Nationwide Insurance working National Catastrophe Claims. I am currently a Supervisor at the county Library in Gainesville, FL GO GATORS! (hey once a Gator always a Gator) where I am in charge of 16 people. I am also in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and have the pleasure to serve as my unit's Chief of Staff and provide admission outreach for the Coast Guard Academy. In five years I see myself in my first year of practice as a Physician Assistant working for the Federal Government as part of the National Disaster Medical System or some other Federal Agency.
