King’s Attorney
Activist, Living History Interpreter, and Smart Ass in Arizona
So, the Twitter bio was weird enough that you want to know more.
The King’s Attorney is a character I developed for a living history group about 25 years ago. His name is Charles R. Blake and he’s from Charlestown, South Carolina. He serves as an assistant to the colony’s attorney general and rides circuit in the backcountry of the colony. He is a Loyalist
My name is actually Jesse and I’m a former history major and surgical first assist. I am an old style liberal and lifelong Democrat.
I developed Mr. Blake as a foil to the majority conservatives I ran across in South Carolina who considered themselves “patriots” in the same vein as those rebelling in the Revolution. I used this Loyalist character to show them that their modern politics put them squarely in the camp of the Tories of the time. It was glorious fun, I miss it.
Thanks for finding out more. Hopefully, in 2021 I can begin tweeting as Mr. Blake and spread some knowledge of colonial juris prudence instead of screaming frustrations into the void.
