I'm a Biomedical Engineering major who attends The Ohio State University. Currently, I'm participating in research at the University of Illinois for the summer of 2013 in the area of Bioengineering. My focus of research involves the study of the Multiple Sclerosis disease using MRI imaging technology. I'm using DTI, a specific type of MRI imaging technology, in order to view axons connecting seperate parts of the brain. Damages to these axons will hopefully serve as a biomarker for disease severity. Furthermore, we would like to see if improvements to MS patients' self-efficacy through interventions can also be seen as improvements in the brain using DTI imaging.
