Rhonda Kinstner

I have been teaching in a private Catholic high school for 22 years, and am currently pursuing my M.A. in Educational Technology Leadership through Lamar University. I am an instructor of technology and of art and I pride myself on being a 21st Century Educator and Learner.

As a 21st Century educator, my philosophy - in a nutshell- is this:

  1. There is more than one way to accomplish anything.
  2. Knowing how to find the solution to a problem is more important than the solution itself.
  3. Exploring new ways to do old things is crucial to being an effective teacher.
  4. Learning in the classroom is a two-way street. Teachers must be willing to learn from their students.

When my school initiated our 1:1 laptop program, I was thrown into a whole different aspect of education than anything I had experienced before. It inspired me as a teacher, but even more as a leader. Since that time, I have attended conferences all over the US, presented to educators at national conferences and have had the opportunity to meet many leaders in the field of educational technology.
