Kiran Garimella

Kiran Garimella, the current President at XBITAlign, specializes in Business Process Management and Enterprise Architecture he has over 22 years of experience in Business Management and Information Technology. With his immense knowledge of IT and his knack for creating successful business strategies, Kiran Garimella has risen to be considered an influential leader in his field of work. At XBITAlign, Mr. Garimella is also the Architect of the Enterprise Capabilities Alignment Framework (ECAFTM) and Method (ECAMTM), which are necessary for assessing, designing, improving and finally, implementing business and IT alignment.

Over the course of the past two decades, Kiran Garimella has directly managed $81 million in projects and facilitated $2.9 billion of business initiatives, delivering quantifiable benefits of over $439 million. Before being the President at XBITAlign, Mr. Garimella held several leadership positions throughout his career from Vice President to Senior Principal Consultant to BPM at Software AG. He was also Global CIO and Chief Architect at General Electric. As he has moved forward in his career, Kiran Garimella left behind a trail of his successful leadership stories in the form of all the IT departments, infrastructures, platforms for web design and lasting relationships he created along the way.

Mr. Garimella’s academic accomplishments are as widespread as his professional ones. With a Bachelors in Chemistry with Honors from Osmania University in India, followed by a Masters from the Central University of Hyderabad in 1986. By 1992, Kiran Garimella obtained his Ph.D in from the Warrington College of Business Administration under the University of Florida. He later became the published author of ‘BPM Basics for Dummies,’ which has over 40,000 copies distributed across 70 countries. He is also the author of the notable essay,’The Power of Process: Unleashing the Source of Competitive Advantage,” which later became a supplemental text for MBA and EMBA courses in several universities around the world.
