Building a high-performance electric vehicle in India was never going to happen through assembly lines and imported off-the-shelf components. From day one at Simple Energy, our thesis was clear: if you want to solve for Indian riding conditions, range anxiety, and extreme thermal environments, you have to own the entire technology stack from first principles.

Designing an EV platform from scratch is rarely the easy route. It requires years of breaking down hardware, refining power electronics, and ensuring every sensor, line of code, and structural design works in total harmony. But that commitment to deep R&D is what transforms a company from a basic system integrator into a true technology pioneer.

What we’ve built behind the scenes:

90%+ In-House Innovation: We engineered our motor controllers, Battery Management Systems (BMS), suspensions, smart dashboard UI, and vehicle architecture completely internally. Avoiding off-the-shelf imports gives us precise control over system efficiency and long-term product quality.

Thermal Architecture & Safety: Designed battery platforms specifically built for extreme ambient temperatures and strict AIS 156 safety standards, enabling industry-leading single-charge range without sacrificing thermal stability or fast-charging safety.

Bridge Between R&D and Scale: Scaled our engineering from clean-sheet CAD models directly into mass-production capabilities, making sure that high-tech prototypes translate cleanly into reliable, production-ready vehicles.

Being recognized on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list was a incredible validation, but the credit belongs entirely to our engineering team—the people pulling long hours in the lab, testing, failing, iterating, and pushing the boundaries of local hardware design.
