There are two significant things you should know....

#1-ABOUT MY WRITING

I have always been a writer, I enjoyed writing short pieces for my family and myself and articles for professional magazines. But when I could no longer work due to my health issues, I had time to write on a regular basis. So writing is now my full time "job", I dedicate the early morning hours of each and EVERY day to writing.

I have finished writing my first novel, Isolated in America the story of a woman who was marginalized as a teenager in the early 1930's at a time when she started having seizures. After becoming orphaned, she was institutionalized for 41 years even though she had normal intelligence and stopped having seizures almost immediately after being institutionalized.

"Isolated in America" is both a character study and an overview of how society deals with those who are "different". The book provides a glimpse of life in America at a time when "eugenics" swept the country and institutionalized many Americans. But primarily, the book is the story of Anna Olson, her unusual gifts, undaunted courage, and strength.

I am currently looking for an editor and publisher to take my work to the public.

#2 About My Health

I have very unique health problems stemming from a broken immune system. No specialist I have ever seen has treated a patient like me, i.e. a person with Non-Huntington's chorea with no known origin yet related to my immune system. In addition to chorea (a Greek word for dance), I have ocular Myasthenia Gravis, a neuro-muscular disease-causing double and blurry vision.

I am constantly searching for answers, to find someone like me, someone who can help me understand what causes my illness, and what if anything, can be done about it.
