My wife, Shelby, and I made our way up to the Boston area in 2010 from East Tennessee. Drawn by our love of New England and a desire to learn what it means to go into vocational ministry, we settled into life at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. From 2010 to 2013, Shelby worked as a first grade teacher at Park Street School in Boston and I pursued the Masters of Divinity which I completed this last August. We were both actively involved at Vineyard Community Church in Saugus, MA leading worship through music, teaching a Bible study, and preaching on occasion. It was such a wonderful, supportive community to explore ministry and learn what it means to love others!

In November 2012 we discovered that our first child was on the way! The two was becoming three! Then around April 2013, we were given the opportunity through a scholarship at Gordon-Conwell to spend a year in Edinburgh, Scotland studying preaching. After much prayer, we decided to take on the opportunity knowing that even though we will be new parents, we would regret not spending the year abroad.

On June 25, 2013 at 10:38 p.m., our beautiful daughter, Micah Grace, entered the world. Our hearts immediately became larger which overshadowed the steep learning curve. Two months later, we shipped off to Edinburgh where we have been met with numerous challenges, but God has been faithful.

Now that my program is coming closer to a finish, we're seeking God on what's next. It appears clear that He's calling us back to the U.S. and toward full-time, vocational ministry. While one adventure comes to a close, so does another begin!
