Kirk Basilio

Kirk is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music with a Major in Percussion at the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music. He's been playing drums for seventeen years and knew he wanted to be a drummer from the moment he picked up a pair of sticks at the age of four. Striving to develop his abilities and establish himself as a professional musician has always been his main focus. Rock, funk, jazz, reggae, Latin, R&B, and pop are just a few of the styles he can play. Furthermore, he is capable of offering the services that a professional drummer is expected to provide.

During his high school days, he honed his skills and knowledge of drumming when he played for several bands. In addition to performing in a variety of live events, he won the Battle of the Bands once, as well as being named the best drummer at the same event. He also worked with other musicians that required drum parts for their tunes. By the end of 2021, he has been a percussionist for the UST Wind Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra

Aside from playing the instrument, teaching his fellow drummers to meet their goals has always been his desire. Providing an accessible program for his fellow drummer in the Philippines is his goal. He found Metronome PH, a drumming education platform that offers classes for all skill levels. This project serves as a gateway for drummers to gain access to the program.
