Kirk Hazlett APR, Fellow PRSA
Kirk is a veteran public relations professional whose career in nonprofit and government publicrelations and marketing spans more than thirty-five years of practice both in Massachusetts, Hawaii and other areas of the United States, as well as Asia.
He has represented government, healthcare, and member services organizations ranging from the United States Army to the Blood Bank of Hawaii to the Medical Area Service Corporation to Boston Harborfest. He also has managed communications programs for the US Army and US Air Force in Vietnam, the Philippines, and the United States and has provided consulting services for both the Manila and the Singapore Red Cross.
Kirk has held leadership positions with the PRSA Board of Directors and the Society’s Educators Academy as well as with PRSA Northeast District and with the Boston and Hawaii PRSA chapters. He has served as a judge for PRSA’s international “Silver AnvilAwards” competition as well as for the Publicity Club of New England’s “Bellringer” awards competition. And, he is longtime Clerk of the Board of Directors of world-renowned Boston Harborfest, Inc.
A nationally-recognized public relations professional, Kirk was inducted into the Public Relations Society of America’s prestigious “College of Fellows” in 2009 in recognition of his significant contributions to the public relations profession. He also has been recognized with lifetime achievement awards by the Boston Chapter, PRSA, and by the Publicity Club of New England.
