Kirk Oldford works as an analytics consultant for MSCI in their New York office. Mr. Oldford oversees a book of asset owner accounts. He deploys best practices in a broad set of analytical techniques to optimize the performance features of investment portfolios held by a clientele of public pension funds, family offices and other institutional investors.

In preparation for his career at MSCI Mr. Oldford earned a MBA with an emphasis in analytical finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Previously Kirk Oldford served as a hedge fund analyst for fund of funds group Guidance Capital. There, he conducted qualitative and quantitative assessments for a $330 million portfolio, which entailed performing due diligence on a diverse group of strategy categories, including convertible arbitrage, trend following, and volatility arbitrage. He most recently handled analyses on hedge fund strategies as an investment officer for the California Public Employees’ Retirement System.

During his free time, Kirk Oldford enjoys taking online university classes offered through Coursera and Udacity. He also listens to such podcasts as 'The History of Rome' and 'The History of English'.
