Kirk Tuck

A portrait and advertising photographer located in sunny Austin, Texas. I shoot fun stuff in the studio and on locations for all kinds of people. We shoot for Bodhi Bikes and Dell and Motorola and the people who live next door and that mom who has a really cute kid. I've written five books about photography and lighting. The first one is called, Minimalist Lighting: Professional Techniques for Lighting on Location. One of my favorites is now a text book for colleges. It's about the business of photography and it's called, Commercial Photography Handbook. The others are about lighting and there pretty popular at Amazon.com. They were published by Amherst Media. They publish a bunch of really great photography books. My first love in photography is creating portraits. I love a portrait that really reaches a person's loved ones. A portrait that brings out the best in each person. I started out teaching photography but I loved shooting portraits so much I left the University to do my work full time. I've photographed people like Michael Dell and Renee Zellweger but I have just as much fun with my friends on my swim team or just strangers who happen to be fun and have a really cool look. You can find a lot more about me at my website: http://www.kirktuck.com or at my blog site: www.visualsciencelab.blogspot.com If you have any questions or you'd like to get in touch all the contact info is on the site. If you're a photographer I hope you're having as much fun as you possibly can. That's what makes this career worthwhile. If you're a person who loves photography I hope you'll take time to look at my work. Thanks, Kirk
