I am currently at home on maternity leave; spending time with my son and daughter. In the fall of 2019 I will be transitioning into the position of Coordinator of ICT for Mountain View School Division. Prior to this, I was employed as a classroom teacher in the Turtle River School Division for 6 years where I taught a variety of subjects ranging from Grade 7-12.

In the spring of 2018 I graduated with my Master of Education Degree with a focus on Curriculum & Pedagogy. I devoted this journey towards understanding the purposeful implementation of technology to expand curricular objectives; specifically in remote and rural classrooms. I am especially interested in the use of social media and the role it can play in improving transparency and accountability between education stakeholders.

In the spring of 2013 I graduated with my two-year Bachelor of Education (After Degree) with a focus on senior years education at a small university in Manitoba, Canada. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in the spring of 2011 with a major in History and a double minor in both Geography and Geology.

I am very much a country girl at heart and, I must admit, that even living in Brandon for university was too much for me! I am now currently living with my husband on his family's three-generation farm and I couldn't be happier to be back in the country.

When I am not at school, my husband and I are busy with our family, working on the family farm, enjoying our remote lake cabin, or keeping up with our favourite football team: the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
