Kirsty Storey

A Fashion Promotion graduate in search of a job in the fashion or creative industry. I have always been a creative individual from studying art and product design at school and then going on to do a creative degree. Even when I was involved with the internships and work experience, I always applied myself creatively in some way. I also feel my written English is good I can be fairly creative with words.

Over the last few years I have really got into graphic design and feel I have an excellent eye for detail. I create all the artwork for my local hair salon, and also put together their first magazine, which was a very enjoyable experience.
Studying a fashion course, as well as working for New Look for six years has shown how much I enjoy fashion. My wardrobe is stuffed with clothes. I love being creative with what I wear and following the latest trends. I like to bring my creativity to work as well, when I get the chance to dress the mannequins and merchandise parts of the store; I am always being asked to rearrange the jewellery.

I have not long finished working at a magazine publishers as a media intern. Whilst here I was involved in the digital marketing and design side of things. Since doing this internship it has shown how much I enjoy working with magazines and the media. I would love to design magazines in the future, especially as I have also put together a magazine for the hair salon.

I am currently looking for a design or marketing role to really kick-start my career.
