Kirsty Starmer

Brighton, England, United Kingdom

I'm Kirsty. I live in Brighton - a place of pebbles, bikes and some of the loveliest people I've met - including my husband. I'm a project manager, organiser of many things, a beach volleyball coach and team manager for the National Junior Girls Beach Volleyball Team. Life's good.

I believe that much of the world of work revolves around skills cunningly disguised under the term "project management" - a sneaky attempt by so-called project managers to keep all these wonderful skills to themselves. The modern world demands that we're all project managers, whether we like it or not.

Empowering a person and giving them confidence is one of the best skills someone can have.

Things I like: chocolate, coffee, happy positive people, people who do, marmite, Brighton, Croyde, unassumingly brilliant people.

Things I don't like: candied peel, camomile tea, negative people, people who don't...and moan about it.

My obsessions: Beach volleyball, organisation, words.

I was born in Liverpool and have lived in Church Stretton, Swansea, Paris, London, Kent, East Sussex.
