Kishor Barman

After completing my graduation in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from BITS-Pilani in 2005, and spending a year with Hewlett-Packard Labs, Bangalore working on offline Devanagari handwriting recognition, I joined the School of Technology of Computer Science (STCS) at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai in 2006 for a Ph.D. Bulk of my work during my Ph.D. was in collaborative filtering, focusing more on recommendation algorithms. I have also worked on asynchronous MIMO channels during the early days of my Ph.D. I completed my Ph.D. in 2011.

Currently, I work with Qualcomm Research Bangalore, I spend most of my time working on computer vision and augmented reality.
