Kit has been fascinated with art and design for a long time. She paints to satisfy her creativity. Her feelings are expressed through colours, abstract figures and architectural elements. She has experimented and worked in many medias such as: ceramics, jewellery design, drawings, sculptures, photography, etchings and monoprints. Kit is not scared of mixing medias and using untraditional tools to get the effects she wants.
She explains: 'my work is an exploration. The paintings are non-objective, abstract and an intuitive expression. This is my own process of making sense of the world. Painting gives me a sense of well-being, and a feeling of connectedness in my daily existence. My personality is expressed in a spontaneous and explorative use of colours and shapes.'
Kit has worked mostly with monotypes. This is a technique that suits her very well. She uses ink and plexiglass in the printing process, to achieve the bright colours.
Lately she has been working with sculpture inspired by nature, using natural material and form.
Kit was born in Hong Kong, but grew up in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. She studied art in Lubbock, Texas before she started her architecture studies at the University of South Western Louisiana. Kit has participated in design competitions and art shows in Bolivia, USA and Norway. She works as a freelance architect.
