I'm seeking to combine two disciplines of study that may become relevant in all our future:

The philosophy of science, a discipline of philosophy concerned with the implications and methodologies of science and astrobiology, an interdisciplinary field that tries to detect, evaluate and study the potential for extraterrestial life.
