A former equity options trader and private wealth manager, KJ Dhaliwal has worked in San Francisco’s flourishing digital app sector since the mid-2010s. He entered the industry as the founder and administrative head of Dil Mil, a top-grossing dating app that specifically targets South Asians who reside in the West. Although he sold the company to the San Francisco-based social technology company Dating Group in 2019, KJ Dhaliwal continues to serve as the chief executive officer of Dil Mil.
At the time of the sale, Mr. Dhaliwal became an advisory board and M&A committee member with Dating Group, proceeding to aid in the acquisition and funding of various tech companies through a $50 million corporate venture fund. In January of 2021, he took on additional responsibilities as Dating Group’s chief strategy officer.
