Katie Knapp Schubert

Born and raised in southern Illinois, now I call Nebraska home. I am News Director at KIOS-FM, Omaha Public Radio. I have a B.A. in Radio-Television News from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and a M.A. in Public Affairs Reporting from the University of Illinois-Springfield. At KIOS, I anchor news, report, write, and produce copy for on air and on the web. I also handle the station's social media and work with radio broadcasting students. My eleven years in broadcasting includes both public and commercial radio. In my free time, I hang out with my husband and dogs, volunteer with the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, and try to catch up on sleep. :-)
