After graduating with a law degree from the University of Amsterdam, she has been working as a journalist and director since 1992. She got appreciation for her documentaries The Brooklyn Connection (2005), The Dictator Hunter (2007), Peace vs. Justice (2011), Anton Corbijn Inside Out (2012).
