Kalani LaFrancis

A product of Gaston County Schools and graduate of Hunter Huss High School, Ms. LaFrancis received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of NC at Charlotte, Master's Degree in Library Science from East Carolina University. Ms. LaFrancis is a National Board Certified Teacher, and is still a student, she is studying Curriculum & Instruction at Gardner Webb University and will soon add an Education Doctorate to her list of learner accomplishments.

Ms. LaFrancis has had the privilege of teaching at Highland for the last 8 years, before being named Library Media Coordinator at Highland; Ms. LaFrancis managed the library media program at Forest Heights Elementary. Previously she taught 3rd & 4th grade at several GCS elementary schools. This year begins her 17th year as an educator.

Ms. LaFrancis has three children that keep her busy, she loves critters of all kinds and her hobbies include reading nonfiction and sleeping. =]
