Laura Klein

Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia

My name's Laura Klein, I'm 18 years old and currently studying a double degree in business and law at Bond University. I attended King's Christian College and graduated as Head Prefect and Events Prefect in 2013.

I'm a foodie who enjoys hiking in the rainforest, walks on the beach, dancing in the rain and all round having a great time with friends and family. I love to travel, to experience new things and take in the breathtaking views of new places.

One day I hope to own my own multimillion dollar company, which will allow me to then make a difference and leave a legacy by sowing back into the next generation.

I have been fortunate to have people inspire and mentor me throughout my life and as a result I've been able to learn from the mistakes of others, gain wisdom and set myself up for a brighter future. I believe sowing into others is crucial even though it can be draining at times. I believe in future generations as they are our legacy; they are the ones who will live in space, cure cancer and go further than we could ever imagine. The world is tailspinning out of control and the youth of today are trying to find themselves in sex, drugs and alcohol. If the current generation doesn't sow back into the next, then what we have worked hard to achieve could possibly be wasted and the potential of future generations not maximised.

The world needs people like you and I to stand up for what is right, to make our mark on society and encourage todays youth to have ambition, dreams and goals. To encourage them so they know they are here to make a difference and that they are valued and what they do really matters.

I've enjoyed my time so far at Bond and I encourage future students to really get involved in the Bond student experience. I've had numerous opportunities already to enhance my skill sets through being the Business Development Manager for the Bond Law Clinic, as well as being a Student Ambassador representing Bond at many functions since the beginning of the year. There's something about Bond that sets it apart from all other universities, the campus environment is one of hard work and ambition mixed with support and friendship from both peers and teaching staff. At Bond, students are encouraged to reach their
