I'm the author of the celebrated book The Musician's Way, Founder and former Director of the Entrepreneurship and Career Center at the Peabody Conservatory (2012-2016), and former Professor of Music at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (1992-2012). Nowadays, I provide consulting services to arts organizations, music schools, music faculty and aspiring musicians. I also publish an extensive educational website and blog, MusiciansWay.com, and write for various journals. In tandem, I present lectures and workshops at leading universities, conservatories, festivals, and conferences. I've been known to play a bit of guitar, too, and, when I'm not doing any of the above, I can often be found outdoors.
