Nashville, Tennessee

As an undergraduate at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, I was pursuing journalism and served as the Editor-in-Chief of the University Times. While working on a Charlotte baseball feature story, I went to the Media Relations office and became interested in what was going on.

I landed an internship with the 49ers during my junior year and became very passionate about Media Relations. As a student assistant with Charlotte, I helped with game operations for volleyball, basketball, soccer and baseball, conducted interviews with coaches and student-athletes, and provided assistance in all areas of the athletic department, primarily to the Media Relations Directors and Media Production Coordinator. I was also able to help in the production of promotional videos and commercials.

Upon graduation from UNC Charlotte, I completed a year-long internship as the Media Relations Assistant for the Southern Conference in Spartanburg, SC. I served as the primary contact for cross country, volleyball, women's basketball, track and field, and softball. Along with media responsibilities, I assisted in the administration of all 14 conference-sponsored championships. I was also responsible for the 2011 Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) Coaches Poll.

In 2011 and 2012 I had opportunites to work at the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament in Charlotte and Nashville, respectively.

I was accepted into Belmont University's Master of Sport Administration program and became the Graduate Assistant for Media Relations in Belmont Athletics in 2012. I currently serve as the primary media contact for volleyball and baseball. During my first year at Belmont I oversaw all media operations for the OVC Volleyball Tournament Champions, who advanced to the NCAA Tournament in Louisville. In 2013, I traveled with the Belmont men's basketball team to Salt Lake City for the NCAA Tournament and served as the secondary media contact.

While at Belmont, I have been involved with the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and have served as a co-organizer for the annual Battle of the Bruins student-athlete talent show to raise money for Special Olympics.

Last summer, I was able to explore professional sports while working for the Tennessee Titans and became involved in their Play60 campaign.

During the fall of 2013 I interned with Vanderbilt Athletics and assisted the football communications staff with weekly press confer
