K.L. Penington

I was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana, which is what initially inspired the background for Emma and Evin. It was at an early age I discovered that I was not whatsoever athletically gifted, an evil genius, or the next Beethoven. One thing I did know, however, was that I loved to read. As a result, growing up, some of my best friends and biggest influences in life were the characters from my favorite books.

The passion behind my writing comes from the ability to be anyone and do anything, and because I can share the multiple different personalities living inside my head without anyone judging me—much. My dream has always been to one day see my own books on bookshelves, next to the hundreds of other books I enjoys reading.

Currently residing in Wichita Falls, Texas, I attend Midwestern State University, where I am in fierce pursuit of an English degree. When not writing, I can be found haunting the local coffee shop, nurturing an everlasting addiction to chai tea, or spoiling my only child, Lily, the small poodle with the big attitude.
