KELVIN L. SHELTON JR.

Well, what can I say about.me? I grew up in Los Angeles, CA. I had dreams of the stage & performed in many different projects throughout my adolescence. Modeling, acting, singing since the age of five. However, I've always been a GREAT communicator & realized the importance of education very early. I had a desire to perform well & succeed at any & all endeavors I set forward to accomplish. So, I've always known whatever I'd end up doing professionally I would fall somewhere between those lines & I would be successful at anything I put my mind to doing. I started a career in Corporate Staffing at the age of 17 working for Mattel, Inc. as a High School Intern. Upon completion of my internship, Mattel, Inc. saw the wealth & dependency I had built for myself within the company & within a week made the decision to extend an offer. This was my first job, my senior year in HS & through my first year of college at UCLA making me 1 of the youngest people ever to work in mgmt for a Fortune 500 company (or so said the L.A. Times anyways, 1999) ...& the rest is history. However, I've felt personally unfulfilled. My dreams & goal straight out of H.S. was to attend UCLA & continue pursuing a career in modeling, acting & singing as I had been mildly successful at it throughout high school. Then, work for a few years as an Financial Analyst. Attend, Loyola Marymount or Pepperdine University to complete a MBA/JD program & work in Corporate & Business Affairs for a leading Entertainment company/Firm. However, we live & we learn. & I've learned that I've had a great career, but its time to do what would make KELVIN happy. I am currently in the process of a career change. I have FINALLY taken the opportunity in life to, somewhat take a break & further educate. I am currently enrolled back in school & taking classes at University of Phoenix while getting all of my transcripts together. I've changed my major from Economics to English & en-route to transfer back to UCLA very soon. I'm SUPER-EXCITED about that. I am in a good space in life & looking forward to my future. Currently I am partnered with Elite Personnel Services as Director of Recruitment Services. I also work as a small business consultant with clients looking to build their company's online internet presence both nationally and internationally to increase sales & profitability.
