Kaitlynn McBride

My name is Kaitlynn McBride and I am currently an Occasional Teacher for the Avon Maitland DSB and the Upper Grand DSB, working in mathematics and science. Throughout my teaching so far, I have had the opportunity to see many different types of learners and learn first-hand about some of the challenges that English Language Learners face and would like to understand more about how to support their understanding of math and science while learning a new language.

I earned my teaching degree in Australia in July of 2015 in Intermediate/Senior Math and Science. My Bachelor of Science is from Wilfrid Laurier in Math and BIology. I completed an AQ in Special Education Part 1 in 2015 from Western University and Teaching and e-Learning thorough Queen’s last year. I am very excited to start another AQ and learn more about supporting English Language Learners.
