Student in Durham, North Carolina
Greetings!
I am an alumna of North Carolina Central University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology living in Durham, North Carolina. I enjoy reading, writing, and socializing. Some of my interest include psychology and entrepreneurship.
In August of 2019 I will continue my education by pursuing a Master of Social Work at North Carolina Central University. I aspire to help minority families, minority children and single parents through counseling and/or advocacy. More specifically my career goal is to foster resilience within minorities by enhancing skills, and wellbeing. These goals and aspirations derive from my own personal experiences. I want to empower individuals with the tools to navigate through life, overcome obstacles, cope, and achieve their goals.
My nurturing and protectionist spirit lead me to thrive in positions of leadership, and in my near future I see myself working directly in sync with my skills in a creative, motivational, and cooperative but independent environment.
“A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.” – Proverbs 17:22
