Krystina McNiven

Hello! My name is Krystina. I am a teacher with the HWCDSB, but I live in Brantford, Ontario. I am a Kindergarten teacher who is currently on maternity leave. I am a mom of 3 (8 year old girl, 6 year old girl and 7 month old boy). Currently working our way through Virtual Learning.

I am a fan of food, cooking, fitness, shopping and DIY. I’m also interested in crafting (sewing and using my cricut) and soccer.

I have been teaching for about 10 years, permanent for almost 4. I have taught a variety of grades from K to 6 (only grade I have not taught is grade 3). I decided to take this course to allow for continued growth and develop opportunities for myself.

I am a graduate of Laurier University (Brantford Campus), where my focus was Contemporary Studies with a Child and Development Component. My courses focused on women’s studies, child development and psychology. I have always had an interest in the various components of family studies, so I am looking forward to embarking in the learnings of this course.
